As a team member in the Regulatory department's technology group, the role of DevOps Engineer will provide operational support for all U.S.-based markets. Core IT operational experience and skills are a must.
Provide day-to-day operational support for Cboe equity, options, and futures surveillance platforms.
Monitor the live systems and actively engage in the incident management process.
Coordinate system upgrades and feature rollouts between software, system, and network engineers.
Develop tools to monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance.
Develop reports detailing system activity.
Define and document operational processes, policies and procedures.
Participate in on call rotations and occasional weekend testing.
7+ years of experience in technical operations support and/or software development.
High level of comfort working in Linux as the primary development and operations environment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills a must.
Ability to quickly and calmly resolve real time production issues in a high pressure, fast-paced setting.
High level of proficiency in Python, SQL and shell scripting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Nagios, Puppet, JIRA, Jenkins, and Collectd
Ability to read and evaluate Java and C++
Systems Administration and/or Network Administration experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
